Our social project video: „I am brave“

Our English teacher Ms. Rindler spent time in South Africa in February 2026, where she visited kids at the ´place to be´ in the townships in Hermanus, a place for children to learn, supported by the ´Verein Lebensgschichten´. Ms. Rindler was part of a music project- she wrote a song for the kids called  ´I am brave´ and the music video was filmed there. Our class 3a will also be part of our version of the music video. The topic of the music video is community and demonstrates the school´s cooperation with the „Verein Lebensgschichten“. Last year in July we filmed our videoclips for this music video at ´Schlossberg´. Our English teacher also met our school community´s godchild Zaani.

Also thank you for the goods and postcards, they were handed over to the kids by Ms. Rindler.

Our godchild Zaani: Little actions can make a big change.

As a school community, students, teachers, employees are invited to pay one Euro per year to  help Zaani (six). She can now take the bus to school, stay with her mum and wear a nice school uniform (etc.). In June, a piggy bank (Sparschwein) will be placed in front of the headmaster´s office. More information will follow.

Modern fairy tales- a film project by 3a

When Ms. Rindler came back from South Africa, she told our class many interesting and emotional stories about her trip. She said the children were very friendly and happy to meet her. However, whe also explained that many of the kids did not have as many books, toys or school materials as we do. We did some brainstorming and started a special project for the children in South Africa.

In this project, we are going to rewrite and act out fairy tales and make them funnier and modern. We are going to film our version of fairy tales, like this the children in South Africa can watch the videos. We hope that the children will enjoy our performances and laugh while watching them. Besides filming the fairy tales, we are also sending the original story books to the children in South Africa as a gift. Our class is very excited about this project because it allows us to be creative while also helping other children. We think it is a wonderful opportunity to give joy.
